Alexander Gorenshtein (born in 1952) – is a painter and a stage designer. Lives and works in Israel.
In 1973 he graduated from the Odessa State Art College named after Grekov. In 1986 he graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema.
The artist has performed more than one hundred productions, including 7 as a director, in theatres of the USSR, Russia, Israel, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Ukraine.
The works of Alexander are kept in the Bakhrushin Museum of Theatre Art, the Glinka Museum of Musical Art, in the Tchaikovsky Museum Apartment, the Rimsky-Korsakov Museum Apartment (St. Petersburg), as well as in private collections in Russia, the USA, Austria, Italy, Germany, Holland, France, Israel, Great Britain, etc.
