Mikhail Shulpin (born in 1969) comes from a family of hereditary artists.

Studied at the Art College.
Behind the external simplicity of his works lies a strong power and expression of almost religious persuasion. He tries to find the hidden world of love and beauty in the endless elusive beauty of the landscape. His world is universal (to the absolute) and very personal. His style can be defined as post-expressionism with influences from Turner and Munch. If there was such a trend in art as Orthodox expressionism, then it could be safely called a follower of this trend.
