Hugo Espirito Santo was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in the spring of 1993. He currently lives and works in Paris, France. Although he has always been passionate about different forms of art, he was particularly drawn to abstract expressionism and the pouring technique, and began developing his own works in 2020. through ethereal sounds and acrylic paint, the focus is to explore ideas of fluid movement, while creating abstract and non-linear shapes. This process involves letting the watered-down paint run its course, conforming itself to its own rhythm and the laws of gravity, as if it had a life of its own.

Hugo Espírito Santo est né à Lisbonne, au Portugal, au printemps 1993. Il vit et travaille actuellement à Paris, en France. Bien qu’il ait toujours nourri une passion pour les différentes formes d’expression artistique, il s’est particulièrement intéressé à l’expressionnisme abstrait et à la technique du pouring, développant sa propre pratique à partir de 2020. À travers des paysages sonores éthérés et la peinture acrylique, il explore les mouvements fluides en donnant naissance à des formes abstraites et non linéaires. Son processus consiste à laisser la peinture diluée suivre son propre cours, portée par son rythme intérieur et les lois de la gravité, comme si elle était animée d’une vie propre.
