Mishin Vladimir
Vladimir Mishin (born in 1940, Chelyabinsk) - painter, graphic artist, sculptor, member of the Union of
Artists of Russia, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
He graduated from the Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial Institute named after V. I. Mukhina.
In the 1960s, he worked as an artist on Chelyabinsk television.
Mishin is the author of an original method of teaching special disciplines in the system of art education. In
the 1980s-1990s, he was a teacher at the Chelyabinsk Art School.
Permanent exhibitor of regional, zonal, republican and All-Union art exhibitions since 1972
He was elected a member of the USSR Expert Council on Monumental Art.
The artist is characterized by the search for a synthetic genre in art, solving the problems of monumental
sculpture in the chamber formats of easel painting and sculpture. His creative method is distinguished by
the minimalism of the artistic language. The artist uses the technique of "grotesque plastic". He is close
to the innovative aesthetic concepts of G. Moore, S. Dali, E. Neizvestny, M. Shemyakin.
The artist's works are kept in the Chelyabinsk Regional Museum of Art, in private collections in Russia,
Sweden, Israel, Yugoslavia, Germany, England, and the United States.
