Anton Makarov was born in 1976. He graduated from the Cheboksary Art College, Painting and Pedagogical Department and St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. Repin (studio of Professor V. Zagone). In addition to that, Anton is a member of the Russian Artists Union.

For several years he worked as a senior lecturer at the Department of General Painting of the St. Petersburg State Academy of Arts and Industry named after A. Stieglitz. The artist also participated in numerous major regional, national and international exhibitions.

Anton Makarov's works are in museums and private collections in Russia, Holland, France, Italy, Germany, China, Australia, Serbia, Yugoslavia, and the USA.
