Lezhnikov Yuriy
Yuriy Lezhnikov (1936-1995) - graphic artist, poster artist. Participant of zonal, regional and republican exhibitions.
From 1952 to 1956 he studied at the Art School. After serving in the army from 1959 to 1961, he continued his education at the Kostroma Art School. From 1961 to 1967 he studied at the Kharkov Art Institute. After defending his diploma, at the request of a number of teachers of the institute, it was decided to leave Yuri Lezhnikov as a teacher at the drawing department. However, due to an absurd oversight of an ideological nature (he criticized the artistic taste of N. S. Khrushchev), this idea was not destined to be realized.
The skill of the artist was noticed and appreciated by his contemporaries. His paintings, in addition to private collections, are in the collections of a number of state museums, such as the Kharkov Art Museum, the Yaroslavl Art Museum, the Moscow Museum of the Great Patriotic War on Poklonnaya Gora, etc.
