Yaroslav Shein (born in 1987, Moscow) is a graduate of the Art Department of VGIK (2010).

Abstraction is eternal. Because in the process of working on an abstract painting, the original “primitive” creative state awakens. It gives incredible opportunities and discoveries. Previously, I experimented with electronic music and digital art, but it is difficult to separate what I created from what is written in the program code. Therefore, I use the method of expressive writing in painting. I supplement abstract volumes with signs peeped in non-subcultural street graffiti. I like to look at surfaces formed as a result of the spontaneous interaction of materials, changes in weather conditions, time, random inscriptions, drawings ... Art feeds on the environment. The themes of the works appear spontaneously, often the content of the picture becomes clear to me only after the completion of the work. Symbols, numbers and other recognizable objects I place in the abstract intentionally. Let everyone find their own hidden meaning in it.
