Marten Dmitry
Marten Dmitry (1860-1918) - landscape painter. He studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Permanent exhibitor of exhibitions of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions (1900-1917). He worked in the traditions of the Russian realistic school. He was an active member of the Northern Circle of Fine Arts Lovers, which existed in Vologda from 1905 to 1920. and influenced the development of the culture of the Vologda region throughout the XX century. The artist's works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, in the Vologda Regional Art Gallery, in many private collections.
