Jean David Boursiquot was born in Jacmel, Haiti, in 1949.

He began painting with his friend Philton Latortue.
Boursiquot's paintings are distinguished for the exhuberance and details in the rendition of his subjects, and the lush vegetation that surround and set the scene for his characters. His work has been shown in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Mexico.
