Vladimir Brainin (born in 1951, Moscow) is a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts (2001), a member of the Association of Young Artists and Art Historians of the Moscow Art Academy of the RSFSR (1976), a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1983).
He graduated from the Moscow Polygraphic Institute, department of Artistic and Technical design of printed products (1976). He worked as a decorator at the Moscow Academic Theater named after Vladimir Mayakovsky (1968-1970). He was the artistic director of interregional and international creative groups in the house of creativity "Senezh" (1980-1990).
He has been a regular participant of exhibitions since 1977.
The artist's works are in museums: the State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), the Ludwig Museum (Cologne, Germany), the Dresden Art Gallery (Dresden, Germany), the ART4 Museum (Moscow), the Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts (Yekaterinburg), the Kaliningrad Art Gallery (Kaliningrad), the Kherson Art Museum named after him.Shovkunenko (Kherson), the Museum of Fine Arts (Nizhny Tagil), the Nikolaev Art Museum ( Nikolaev), the Tula Museum of Fine Arts (Tula), Kurgan Regional Art Museum (Kurgan), Yaroslavl Art Museum (Yaroslavl), Bureau of Contemporary Art (Warsaw, Poland), Kemerovo Regional Museum of Fine Arts and others.
