Alexander Maltsev (born in 1959).

Graduated from the Art School.
The works of A. Maltsev are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the collection of Mr. Brian Mulroney, former President of Canada (the work was purchased by Mikhail Gorbachev), the private collection of Gerhard Schroeder (former German Chancellor), private collections of Switzerland, Germany, France, Portugal, USA.

His search for his individual often did not find a response among colleagues and teachers, but Maltsev always believed that the artist can only take place when he finds his own individual style. Maltsev works in symbiosis of icon painting and expressionism.

The artist rarely uses a lot of color, which only emphasizes its symbolic meaning. It is never possible to get to know Maltsev’s paintings closely enough: with every new glance there is something new that had previously escaped attention. However, the most amazing thing is the powerful energy emanating from each canvas, and the unique space inside each painting by the master.
