Ilya Tabenkin (1914-1988) - painter, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (since 1951).

In 1988 Tabenkin became the only artist of his generation to participate in the landmark Moscow Sotheby's auction.

The artist's works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, more than 20 regional museums in Russia, as well as in the largest domestic and foreign private collections and museums: The Museum of Russian Art MORA, Kolodzei Art Foundation (Highland Park, New Jersey, USA).
