Denis Serov (born in 1969, Berdyansk) is an artist from Lipetsk, an icon painter, a teacher.
He graduated from the Voronezh Art School, painting department (1988).
For a long time he was a theater artist, a production designer for more than ten performances. He led a studio for modeling clay toys. In the late 90s, he decided to devote his work to church painting. To this day, he performs pictorial and tempera icons of various formats. He is also engaged in painting churches, restoring church frescoes. At the moment, he is painting the St. Nicholas Church in Lipetsk, teaches drawing at a Sunday school and runs an icon painting studio.
The artist likes to travel along the rivers of the Lipetsk region, where he is inspired by beautiful landscapes, which become the main object of his paintings. Russian rivers, forests, fields, the sky, the beauty of nature – in his works there are beautiful and unique moments of the states of nature.
