Popelsky Oleg

Oleg Popelsky (born in 1956, Minsk) - has been creating artworks from stone for more than 30 years. The Soutine triptych dedicated to the life of the expressionist artist Chaim Soutine. The subjects were based on the paintings of X. Soutine's "Self-portrait" (1922) and " Eva " (1928), as well as a self – portrait of the Parisian friend of the master-artist Amadeo Modigliani (1919).
All works are made from natural Italian marble with hand drawings. The marble was prepared in a special way – parts of the stone were softened to add color. Then, with the help of a special technology, everything was connected and created the final form by hand. The work is very complex, and has no analogues in the world.
