Micnik Aleksandr

Alexander Micnik (born in 1957) is a painter, graphic artist and illustrator.

In 1984 graduated from art school. Participant of more than 80 collective and personal exhibitions.
Works of the artist are in private collections, in the permanent expositions of many museums.
Here is what the artist himself says about his work: "I am a romantic who still believes in miracles and kindness. I try to make my viewers believe in them. I love to write winter landscapes, Ural and Ukrainian. Any of my paintings is a labor, many days, patient. What is depicted must be convincing. I often work for several years on one work, carefully working out the smallest details, making dozens of sketches. All of my fictional paintings are made up of pieces of reality. I draw my inspiration from the works of Kuindzhi, Bryullov, Polenov, Makovsky, Savrasov and Shishkin."
