Galetsky Yuri

Yuri Galetsky (1944-2019).

Primary education received at the Art School at the LVHPU named after V.I. Mukhina, later mastered graphics and painting on his own.
In 1977-1987 he was in exile in the United States, collaborated with a number of galleries. After returning to Russia, he regularly exhibited his work at group exhibitions in the galleries of St. Petersburg.
The creative method of Yuri Galetsky, who calls the “intuitive realism”, was influenced by the Far Eastern art and philosophy of Zen Buddhism, in his works the desire for plastic display of musical themes is noticeable.
During the years of emigration, Galetsky came to the Orthodox worldview, wrote icons and works on religious themes.
The artist’s works are stored in museum and private collections in Europe, America and Russia.
