Tonkonogiy Igor

Igor Tonkonogiy (born in 1958, Sterlitamak) is a graphic artist, painter, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (Russia) (since 1991), member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, Creative Union of Artists of the Republic of Belarus (since 2004), Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus.

Works in various printing techniques (etching and its varieties - soft varnish, drypoint, aquatint - lithography, linocut, xylography, monotype), drawing materials and techniques (graphite pencil, pastel, mixed media).
Graduated from the art and graphic faculty of the Bashkir State Pedagogical Institute (now - M. Akmulla University; 1975-1980).
Since 2006 - editor-in-chief of the magazine "Rampa. Culture of Bashkortostan.
Since 1979 - participant of republican, regional, all-Russian, all-Union, international, including special, foreign and group exhibitions. In 1993 and 1994 he worked by invitation in England. In 1998, in connection with participation in the exhibition "Unknown Russia", he made a creative trip to the USA, where he also exhibited a solo exhibition.
The works of Igor Tonkonogogo are stored in the Bashkir State Art Museum. M.V. Nesterov, Jersey City Museum of Russian Contemporary Art (USA), Museum of Contemporary Russian Art in Exile (Mongeron, France), Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Tomsk Regional Art Museum, Alla Bulyanskaya Gallery (Moscow, Central House of Artists), in domestic private collections and abroad (England, France, Israel, Spain, Canada, Poland, USA).
