Viktoria Daneva is an artist working in painting and mixed media. She was born in 1982 in Moldova and currently lives and works in Italy.

In her artistic practice, Daneva explores visual interpretations of surrounding reality, inner experience, and the memory of space, engaging with both abstract forms and imagery drawn from nature and the human figure. Her works are built on a subtle balance between intuitive gesture and structural thinking, combining emotional perception with careful attention to form, texture, and composition.

The artist works primarily with traditional materials, including oil and ink in painting and drawing, and also incorporates paper through collage techniques. Her works have been exhibited in Moldova, Italy, and the United States.

“In my artistic practice, I explore the interpretation of surrounding reality, inner experience, and the memory of space. I am not interested in the literal reproduction of forms or events, but in their personal rethinking through sensation, state, and inner experience. Each work becomes the result of a subjective viewpoint and an attempt to capture what remains beyond direct observation.
For me, painting is a way of interpreting feelings, impressions, and visual fragments preserved in memory. I work with abstract and figurative forms, using traditional materials and mixed techniques that allow the materiality of gesture, layering, and the tactile quality of the surface to remain present. Colour, form, texture, rhythm, and the interaction of layers play a key role in the construction of the composition.
My practice unfolds as a continuous process of visual research, in which each work captures a moment of inner state and an individual interpretation of space, time, and lived experience.”
