For more than twenty years, Timothée Bordenave has been developing a body of work that weaves together literature, visual arts, and spiritual inquiry.

Born in Paris in 1984, he followed a classical literary education at Collège Montaigne and Lycée Henri‑IV. He later studied law at Université Paris II Assas and information sciences at the Institut Catholique de Paris. After an initial experience at the CNRS, he successively directed the René‑Bernard Library and the Library of French Protestantism.

His path began with words, as most journeys do. Since childhood, he has written not out of ambition, but out of necessity—like breathing, automatically and instinctively. Poetry came first, followed by short narratives, then small prayers filling the margins of his notebooks. Over time, this practice has given rise to more than twenty published books: poetry collections, philosophical essays, and fictional works unfolding like tapestries of thought.

His visual practice emerges from the same impulse. In his Paris studio, words and colors coexist: paintings, multimedia works, and notebooks combine French and English in vibrant compositions where language becomes a visual material. His work has been presented in approximately forty exhibitions in France and abroad, notably with the painting Colomba, shown at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.

A collector, organizer of artistic events, and passionate music lover, Timothée Bordenave advocates for a unified vision of creation—guided by faith, rigor, and the pursuit of harmony between the visible and the invisible.

Depuis plus de vingt ans, Timothée Bordenave construit une œuvre qui relie intimement littérature, arts visuels et recherche spirituelle.

Né à Paris en 1984, il suit un parcours littéraire classique au collège Montaigne puis au lycée　Henri-IV. Il étudie ensuite le droit à Assas et les sciences de l’information à l’Institut　catholique. Après une première expérience au CNRS, il dirige successivement la Bibliothèque René-Bernard et la Bibliothèque du protestantisme français.

Son chemin a commencé par les mots, comme la plupart des voyages. Depuis l’enfance, il écrit non par ambition, mais par nécessité, comme on respire, automatiquement et instinctivement. La poésie d’abord, puis les récits, puis les petites prières qui peuplent les marges de ses carnets. Au fil du temps, cette pratique a donné naissance à plus de vingt ouvrages publiés: recueils de poésie, essais philosophiques, fictions qui se déploient comme des tapisseries de la pensée.

Sa démarche plastique naît de cette même impulsion. Dans son atelier parisien, mots et couleurs cohabitent: peintures, œuvres multimédias et carnets mêlent français et anglais dans des　compositions vibrantes où le langage devient matière visuelle. Son travail a été présenté dans une　quarantaine d’expositions en France et à l’étranger, notamment avec la toile　Colomba, exposée au Musée d’art métropolitain de Tokyo.

Collectionneur, organisateur d’événements artistiques et passionné de musique, Timothée Bordenave défend une vision unifiée de la création, guidée par la foi, la rigueur et une quête d’harmonie entre le visible et l’invisible.
