Sasha Mingia (born in 1985).  Lives and works in Paris.

After a long career in design, Sasha began an artistic practice in 2020 following a period of deep depression experienced in Saint Petersburg— a formative event that has had a lasting influence on her perspective and artistic approach.

She holds a degree in Graphic Design from the British Higher School of Design (2009) and a Master’s degree in Museology from the Russian State University for the Humanities (2007). Sasha has developed an interdisciplinary practice that brings together clay, painting, and textile techniques. Her work spans sculpture and art objects, as well as photography and digital art.

At the core of her practice lies a reflection on personal and social stigmas, explored through a subtle balance between abstraction and emotional narrative.

Sasha Mingia’s works have been featured in several publications, including Erased Reality: Exploring the Boundaries of Memory in Designcollector (2025), Sasha Mingia in Original Magazine, London (2024), Our Talent’s Portfolio in project × (2024), and 100 Artworks, edited by Rebecca Wilson (2023).

Après une longue carrière dans le design, Sasha entame une pratique artistique en 2020, à la suite d’une période
de dépression profonde survenue à Saint-Pétersbourg — une expérience fondatrice qui influence durablement
son regard et sa démarche.

Titulaire d’un diplôme en design graphique de la British Higher School of Design (2009) et d’un master en 　muséologie de la Russian State University for the Humanities (2007), Sasha développe une approche 　interdisciplinaire mêlant argile, peinture et techniques textiles. Son travail s’étend de la sculpture à l’art-objet, en passant par la photographie et l’art numérique.

Au cœur de cette pratique, on retrouve une réflexion sur les stigmates personnels et sociaux, explorés
à travers un équilibre subtil entre abstraction et récit émotionnel.
