Irina Tsypilova is a member of the Union of Artists of Vienna and Austria. Lives and works in Vienna.
Graduated with honors from the Art College in 2002.
In her works, she uses many techniques: painting, collage, mosaic, graphics. She uses paper, canvas, and wood as a base. She plays with materials and textures. Her love for graphics has combined with her love for spontaneous spots. Now this has turned into a new series of works in the form of bright spots and images framed by smooth black lines.
Irina has a series of surrealist paintings where syrup pours out of cheese, and an eggplant looks like an orange from the inside. Or, for example, a pear sitting on a glowing cube.
“I like to depict simple forms that evoke strong emotions and philosophical thoughts. I am inspired by the works of surrealist and cubist artists of the 20th century.” The artist’s works are in private collections in Austria, Italy, Germany, Spain, and France.
