David Affagard
David Affagard (born in 1964, Le Havre, France).
Affagard began his artistic journey at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Liège, Belgium, where he developed a deep appreciation for contemporary figurative art.
His artistic and digital career spanned several decades, during which he taught multimedia and digital art at the University of Paris VIII, Paris XIII and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Chalon-sur-Saône in France. This long experience has enriched his perspective and fueled his passion for integrating technology into traditional art forms. Especially, from 1997 to 2013, he created artistic and digital museum pieces for the Musée Nicéphore Niépce, the national museum of photography.
In 2018, a personal conviction invited him to give up digital technology to devote himself full-time to traditional painting and drawing from his studio located by the sea in Quiberon (South Brittany, France). The serene environment of the seaside and the mild climate are a source of energy for his work.
His artistic journey has led him to exhibit mainly in Paris, but his works have also reached international audiences in New York and Tokyo.
