Andrey Grin
Andrey Grin (born in 1956, Moscow, Russia) is a self-taught painter living in Paris.
He grew up surrounded by painters, critics, and art experts, although he never received any formal art training in drawing or painting. For several years, he assembled a collection of works by Russian painters belonging to the School of Paris.
It was only in 2014, out of simple curiosity, that he decided to take up painting. He acquired brushes and oil paints, and began creating his first works, mainly rural landscapes and still lifes. Gradually, he turned to a more ambitious project: reviving old photographs taken during his many travels, particularly to Paris.
Over the past ten years, he has participated in fourteen exhibitions, including six solo shows, in Moscow (Russia), Paris (France), Brussels (Belgium), and San Diego (USA), thus establishing his place in the world of contemporary art.
Based in the French capital since March 2022, Andrey Grin draws deep inspiration from Parisian life.
For him, Paris is a continuous celebration, a city that offers new sources of inspiration every day, whether for a resident or a visitor.
